Tony Kamionsky is a dynamic actuary who has strong technical skills and can market, be creative, manage and lead people and manage projects. He gets along well with people and can work both on his own and as part of a team. He is passionate about the things he does and is self motivated and very dependable.

Tony was one of the youngest people to qualify as an Actuary in South Africa. He was Liberty Life’s youngest divisional director. He has a proven track record in life insurance, product development, health care consulting, pension fund consulting, pension fund administration, investments, corporate actuarial work, people and project management and in starting and managing a business.

Tony has been a member of the Actuarial Society of South Africa’s Retirement Matters Committee and has presented 2 papers to the annual Actuarial Conventions (one on conversion from defined benefit to defined contribution and one on member investment choice). Tony designed Liberty Life’s Linked Annuity product which later became the market norm in South Africa. Also at Liberty Life Tony took a 10 person pension fund consulting area and turned it into a 60 person pension fund consulting and administration area with over R2,5bn of assets under management. In March 2005 Tony started Dynam-ique SA Consultants and Actuaries which was one of the fastest growing private pension fund administration companies. Within 2,5 years they were administering in excess of 24,000 lives and employing 33 people and with offices in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. In February 2008 the business of Dynam-ique SA was sold to AON South Africa.

In July 2009 Tony founded Term Life, an internet based life insurance provider, competing with the big established players. In the space of 6 months Term Life achieved 900 policy applications with almost no marketing spend.

From 2011 to May 2013 Tony assisted a friend in setting up a school loyalty/fundraising program called Support Your School which was set up as a competitor with MySchool Card.

From June 2013 to September 2014 Tony worked at Alexander Forbes as head of pricing in their Life division.

In October 2014 Tony Kamionsky founded The Benefitz Software Company which is a system development company focussing on Business Rule Engines, primarily Corticon from the US company Progress. Tony is currently the leading expert on Corticon in South Africa.

From November 2021 Tony has worked at Clientele Life as Head of the Actuarial Valuations Team.
